As I stepped away from the school, my heart was in unrest. Will there be peace and stability in the upcoming years? Will the tradition of congregational prayers and noble ethics of SAMURA-ians will be preserved? And, the legacy I have carved with my blood and tears will be eternal?
Worry not, I said to myself as I have left them few of my companions to continue and complete the mission.
This post is specifically for my companions, the Mamluks. Read them, O my companions and live according to the rules. Never walk away or shun this code or we will be crumbled. Discipline and order are the way of life. Become water. When, in full force, it can ram an entire fort to pieces. But, it is also delicate and flexible as it too can seep through the tiniest pore of a structure.
Behold, the Furusiyya Code.
To fear
allah and maintain His religion in the realm
To serve allah in valour and faith
To protect
the weak and the defenceless
To give
succour and respect and honour to widows and orphans
To refrain
from the wanton giving of offence
To live by
honour and for glory
To despise
pecuniary reward
To fight
for the welfare of all
To obey
those placed in authority
To guard
the honour of fellow knights
To eschew
unfairness, meanness and deceit
To keep
faith
At all
times to speak the truth
To
persevere to the end in any enterprise begun
To respect
the honour of women
Never to
refuse a challenge from an equal
Never to
turn the back upon a foe
to refrain ourselves from women
to ace in metaphysics and secular field
